Jennifer was born in Jackson MS and moved to Nashville as a child. She enjoyed art as a child and painted with oils a bit as a teen, but ultimately went to MTSU to earn a degree in nutrition. Jennifer didn’t truly begin painting again until her children were in school full time, and started simply by painting pieces she wanted to hang in her own home. Discovering a love for vintage and antique frames (not to mention looking for these frames both in-person and online), she began pairing them with her favorite paintings. She paints primarily in acrylics on handmade paper. “I love the juxtaposition of a vintage/antique frame with the freshness of a modern landscape on textured handmade paper; the marriage of that tradition and history combined with the fresh clean colors in my pieces brings me joy.” She finds inspiration in clouds and trees and the hunt for the perfect vintage frame. Jennifer lives in Nashville with her husband and two boys.
