Sarah Trundle is a Charlottesville, Va. painter working primarily in abstraction. Decisive mark-marking, bold, geometric shapes, and a simplicity of form, line, and color, are the hallmarks of Sarah's paintings. She sees every painting as a constantly evolving and shifting process, often starting a piece without any fixed vision of an end product. Her approach is one of constantly obscuring and re-defining, of ongoing layering, scraping, covering, wiping, scratching, and generally moving paint and materials around to ultimately achieve the final balance of shape and color that gives her that "aha" moment.
