Anne Strickland lives in Atlanta with her husband and her Jack Russell Terrier. Her southern landscapes and rich seasons feed her imagination and love of color. Influenced by her mother, who was also an artist, Anne grew up in a rich, artistic environment. She passed along this bloodline to her daughter who is an accomplished designer and painter in Los Angeles. Anne’s method reveals a strong influence in Russian impressionism along with a hint of expressionistic style. Her paintings transform the mundane into brilliant shapes of light and shadow. She accomplishes this by establishing a strong abstract design under every painting. It is this method that helps establish a fresh moment of surprise. She received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a Masters of Arts in History from the University of Georgia, and a Masters of Psychology from Emory University. Her work has been placed in private homes and businesses as well as galleries across the nation.
